Bigger, lighter, more efficient and most economical is the only way to describe our Cramlite (Maxi-lite) plaster brick. As part of our contribution to sustainable building design, we are proud to be the first clay brick manufacturer in South Africa, to have to have pioneered a lightweight plaster brick that meets all the quality and performance criteria of a standard brick.
Aptly named, Cramlite, this new Maxi-plaster, offers an affordable solution for any housing and inner city building regeneration project where lightweight partitioning and budget is the key determining criteria. With 20% less mortar required, site wastage is minimised, crane lifting is easier and there is less weight in transportation, resulting in your build being up to three times faster than normal. Their ease of use, also allows for significant savings in productivity and labour costs too.

Cramlite, the innovative Maxilite brick pioneered in South Africa by Crammix, combines the advantages of the latest technology with the proven qualities of fired clay-strength and superior thermal insulation.
Cramlite bricks are ideal for "affordable" housing projects and the regeneration of inner city buildings where it fulfills the developers requirements for lightweight partitioning. Although lighter, it meets all stringent size and performance criteria as laid out in SABS 227 and national building regulations for standard masonry plaster products. the ribbed surface is ideal for plaster keying and finishing.
